  • How close are the condos to the beach?

    We are a true beachfront property with direct beach access. Guests can walk from condominiums to the board walk in just a few minutes.

  • Is the property family-friendly?

    Absolutely. We’ve welcomed families for generations and offer a relaxed, friendly atmosphere ideal for beach vacations.

  • Are there on-site staff members available if we need assistance?

    Yes. We have a small but dedicated team available to assist with maintenance requests, check-in needs, and general questions during business hours.

  • Is there direct beach access for guests?

    Yes. All guests have access to our private boardwalk leading directly onto the beach.

  • Is there parking available?

    Yes. We have ample parking available for guests' vehicles, golf carts, and can accommodate boats.

  • Do you allow pets?

    We do not allow pets but we do accommodate Service Animals per ADA requirements.

  • Do you have a pool?

    Yes. Coral Cay offers two pools for all guests to enjoy. The main pool, located by the office, is heated from Thanksgiving - mid March.

  • Where is Port Aransas located?

  • What is Port Aransas known for?

    Port A is famous for its wide sandy beaches, excellent fishing, dolphin watching, birding, golf carts, and a laid-back coastal vibe that keeps visitors coming back year after year.

  • How do I get to Port Aransas?

    You can reach Port A by ferry from Aransas Pass or by driving over the causeway via Highway 361 from Corpus Christi. Both routes are easy and scenic.

  • Do I need to take the ferry to get there?

    No. The ferry is one option, but you can also drive straight onto Mustang Island from the south without using the ferry.

  • What is the beach like?

    Port Aransas offers miles of clean, soft sand with gently rolling waves—perfect for swimming, sunbathing, walking, and family activities. Vehicles are allowed on most beaches with a beach parking permit.

  • Do I need a parking permit for the beach?

    Yes, for most public beach areas. “Beach Parking Stickers” can be purchased at local stores, gas stations, and city offices.

  • Are golf carts allowed on the beach and around town?

    Yes. Golf carts are a popular way to get around. They’re allowed on many city streets and parts of the beach, but not on high-speed roads. Rental shops are widely available.

Coral Cay Rental – Frequently Asked Questions

  • What types of rental units does Coral Cay offer?

    We offer a variety of units ranging from cozy efficiencies to spacious three-bedroom condos, perfect for couples, families, and groups.

  • Are the kitchens fully stocked?

    Yes. Every rental unit includes a fully stocked kitchen with cookware, dishes, utensils, and basic appliances—everything you need to prepare meals during your stay.

  • Is there an age requirement to rent a unit?

    Yes. The primary renter must be 25 years of age or older and must be present for the duration of the stay.

  • Do you offer Winter Texan rentals?

    Yes! We welcome Winter Texans from December through April 1st, with extended-stay options that provide a comfortable home-away-from-home for the season.

  • How close are the units to the beach?

    Coral Cay is a true beachfront property with direct beach access via our private boardwalk—no streets to cross.

  • Is smoking allowed in the units?

    All rental units are non-smoking. Designated outdoor areas may be available.

  • Do units have balconies or patios?

    All units feature private patios or balconies, some with beautiful views overlooking the Gulf or the property grounds.

  • Do you have a pool?

    Yes. Coral Cay offers two pools for all guests to enjoy. The main pool, located by the office, is heated from Thanksgiving - mid March.

  • What time is check-in and check-out?

    Check-in is at 4:00 PM and check-out is 11:00 AM, more information will be provided in your reservation details. Early check-in or late check-out may be available upon request, depending on availability.

  • Are Wi-Fi and cable included?

    Yes. Complimentary Wi-Fi and cable are available in all rental units.

  • Are there laundry facilities?

    We have an on-site guest laundry facility. Please ask the front desk for details during your stay.

  • What is your cancellation policy?

    1. Reservations must be canceled 7 days before your scheduled arrival date to receive a refund of your 50% deposit, minus a $75 cancellation fee.
    2. Reservations cancelled within 7 days before your scheduled arrival date, the 50% deposit is subject to forfeiture, including cancellations due to rain or unfavorable weather.

    Hurricane Season Cancellations (June 1 – November 30):
    1. Full refunds for deposits will be provided for management-mandated cancellations due to Mandatory Evacuation orders from the City of Port Aransas or Nueces County due to a hurricane forecasted to make direct landfall or have significant impacts in our area. In the event you are occupying and checked-in to a rental when a Mandatory Evacuation is put in place, you will be refunded the remaining nights of your stay.

  • What is the deposit schedule for nightly reservations?

    A 50% deposit is required at the time of booking to secure your reservation.
    The remaining 50% balance is due at check-in.

    Please make sure the card on file is valid and accessible at arrival to ensure a smooth check-in process.

Winter Texan Frequently Asked Questions

  • When is the Winter Texan season at Coral Cay?

    Our Winter Texan season runs from December 1st through April 1st. Guests may stay for one month or the full season, depending on availability.

  • What is the deposit or payment schedule for Winter Texan stays?

    A deposit is required to secure your long-term reservation. Deposits: A $300 dollar deposit is required for all guests staying 30 days or longer, this deposit is deducted from your first month’s rent.

    Payment Schedule: First month’s rent is due 30 days before your scheduled arrival date, the remaining months are to be paid on the 1st day of the remaining months.

  • Is housekeeping included?

    Winter Texan reservations receive bi-weekly cleaning from our housekeeping team, a one time cleaning fee, based on the unit size, is charged.

  • Is the property quiet and suitable for long-term stays?

    Yes. Coral Cay is known for its relaxed, friendly environment. Many Winter Texans return year after year for the peaceful atmosphere and beachfront location.

  • Can I receive mail or packages during my stay?

    Winter Texans can receive mail and packages, there is a mailbox for every unit inside our front office. Please contact the office for instructions.
